Careers at Jansen Electro Techniek

Working at JET means technically challenging work, direct communication, and colleagues who support one another. You’ll be given responsibility, but you’ll never be on your own.

This is what a day at JET looks like

You’ll work on one or more projects, usually as part of a small team, with scheduled breaks. Sometimes you’ll spend weeks working on the same project; other times, you’ll switch between different assignments. You’ll provide quick, direct feedback to a project manager or client.

A Variety of Projects

No two projects are the same. At JET, you’ll work on automation projects, panel building, machine construction, and PLC programming—from design to testing. The assignments vary widely: from panel building for installations in the oil and gas industry to the construction of complete robot cells, from smaller local jobs to installations for major industrial clients and international projects.

That variety is intentional: it keeps the work technically challenging and prevents you from getting stuck in a rut.

Personal Guidance

As a new employee, you’ll be trained step by step by experienced colleagues: learning to read blueprints, identifying errors, and mastering work methods. You’ll learn the trade directly on the job, alongside your colleagues. In addition, you’ll take hands-on training courses with external partners such as Festo—for example, on pneumatics or air pressure technology.

Quickly Take on Responsibility, With Guidance

You’ll quickly be given responsibility here, but you won’t be on your own: experienced colleagues will be right by your side to guide you. You’ll work independently on your own tasks and take an active role in ensuring the quality of your work. If you’re working on-site, you’ll be the face of JET to the customer. If you work primarily in the workshop, your craftsmanship will speak for itself.

Plenty of room to grow

Because the lines of communication are short and you’re quickly involved in real projects, you’ll gain a lot of practical experience in a short amount of time. Whether you’re just starting out or already have experience, there’s room to deepen your technical knowledge or take on more responsibility. That’s how Ruben worked his way up to become a field team leader.

Terms of Employment and Benefits at JET

You’ll receive a permanent contract for day shifts. After one year of service, you’ll be provided with your own, fully equipped company car. In addition, you’ll receive meal vouchers and a net monthly stipend. You can take overtime as time off or have it paid out. And you’ll mainly be working within a 50-km radius of Lommel, traffic-free. There’s also a Friday afternoon get-together, a New Year’s reception, and occasional events organized by colleagues themselves—all on a voluntary basis.

New Workshop

In July 2026, we moved into our new 2,500 m² workshop. It’s comfortably air-conditioned in the summer, heated in the winter, and equipped with all the necessary amenities.
